Ribbon Madness

My ribbon is better than your ribbon
Don't you love all the ribbons you see on cars: "Support the Troops" - "God Bless America" - "End Breast Cancer." During our recent vacation in Colorado, I saw a car with a "support the troops" yellow ribbon that had been augmented with the phrase "Stop Bogus Wars." Pretty funny. This reminds me of the fish symbol that you often see displayed on vehicles. I remember back in the early 80's almost every vehicle owned by the "elite" members of my Christian church had them on their suburbans and vans. Next came the fish with legs, eating the simpler legless version, some with the word "Darwin" contained inside the fish.
Later came an even bigger fish eating the walking "Darwin fish" and so on. The other night at work I walked out to the parking lot and saw a fish decal with the words " 'n chips " contained within it. The competition continues...
